Caribbean Fantasy was purchased by the current owners, Jack & Vera Kirkpatrick, in 1988. Caribbean Fantasy specializes in vacation properties for rent in and around Akumal, and is known for its wide selection, personal touch, and excellent Web site. As both long-term property owners and business owners, Jack and Vera have a special place in their hearts for Akumal and the surrounding areas of the Yucatán. Their passions were not only developed from the spectacular beauty of the region, but also for the Maya people. They treasure too the many friends they
have made during their visits to Akumal.
Jack and Vera live in Loveland, Colorado and travel to Akumal at least two times per year, in addition to their other worldly travels. They own
properties in both Half Moon Bay and Aventuras Akumal.
While knowing that the guests that they bring to Akumal also develop a love of the Caribbean side of Mexico, they feel that by contributing to
CEA, they help to propel the preservation of one of the most sacred and beautiful places in the world.
In Memorium
Jack Kirkpatrick, the owner of Caribbean Fantasy, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004. He had fought a long and courageous battle with a rare neurological disorder. As was exemplary of his life, he was brave, filled with dignity and always worried about others. In the mantra of giving that fulfilled his life, he continued even after his last breath, offering to donate his brain to science, and his eyes for corneal transplants. He was an honorable man every day of his life and we hope you will, as we will, remember him as the gentleman he was. He was a friend to all who met him. His funeral took place on Wednesday, October 13, 2004, in Loveland, Colorado. As a reflection of his giving ways, Jack had requested any memorial donations be sent to CEA or Foothills Gateway.
