Ed Blume's fascination with nature began more than 50 years ago when he played, hiked, and camped in the woods of northern Indiana. He enrolled
in forestry at Purdue University (W. Lafayette, Indiana), but quickly
switched his major to political science. (He says now that if he'd
known how political forestry would become, he would have stayed in
forestry.) He earned a Masters in political science at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison. He is now a lobbyist and association manager in
Madison, Wisconsin, as well as an Open Water SCUBA diver and a member of several local, international and national environmental organizations, including CEA.
