Who the heck are we?
A good question! Our fearless leaders, Denny and Diane Mahan, have been renting luxury vacation villas in Akumal, Mexico, since 1985, first as Casa del Sol, and then beginning in 1995 as “Akumal Villas” due to expansion north and south, up and down the Riviera Maya coastline.
Diane (a native of Florida) and Denny (an Ohio Buckeye) have lived in the Akumal area since 1980—long before it became known as the Riviera Maya! This photo was taken at one of their villas after a private concert by the Grateful Dead!
All of the Akumal Villas staff live in the Akumal area—not in the United States or wherever! If you want to pay us a visit, take a stroll down the Akumal road toward Yal-ku lagoon and stop at the peach colored stucco house on your left. We would love to meet you!  Anna is from Brisbane, Australia, lives in Puerto Aventuras and is our resident expert for all questions Puerto! She handles all villa reservations and customer service. She also loves gifts!
 Gustavo is from Jalisco, Mexico, lives in Jade Beach and does all of our accounting for Uncle Sam. He also keeps our owners happy by sending them their rent checks each month!
 Mary is from Guanajuato, Mexico, lives in North Akumal and does all of our accounting for “Hacienda” which is Mexico’s version of Uncle Sam. Yep, we have to keep them BOTH happy!
We work hard and we play hard—just like you! We’re here to help you choose the perfect villa for your vacation and to make sure you have a wonderful time at your “home away from home.” Our villas are all privately owned, so remember, your vacation home is someone else’s “pride and joy.”
There’s tons to do and see on the Riviera Maya—lots of great restaurants, shopping, sports, etc. or you can just be a veggie and sway in a hammock with a Margarita in hand! Whatever your questions or fantasies are, we have the answers, because we live here, and we know each and every villa as well as the Riviera Maya coastline.
We also work with a fantabulous group of managers who personally visit you at your villa to answer any questions.
