April Marks the Official Opening of Turtle Season. One of CEA's most successful programs is the Turtle Protection Program, headed up by Rogelio Villavicencio. Each year he and a group of volunteers work to collect data and protect the turtles and their nests. John Cates, an ex-turtle volunteer, recently shared his experiences with us; click here to read all about it.
If you are interested in volunteering with the Turtle Protection Program please contact us. There are openings for volunteers for the month of May and from August through the end of the season.
