February 20
8:00 a.m. Beach Sweep for Sea Monster Sculpture at Akumal Bay and Half Moon Bay; gather at the CEA Center.
8:30 – 10:00 a.m. Stop by the CEA Center for coffee, drop off Silent Auction donations, register for Festival activities.
9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Silent Auction open for bidding, and Environmental Information available at the CEA Center. Online Auction will be running for those who would like to bid on additional items online.
All Day in front of the CEA Center. Build a Sea Monster, participate in our continuous beach sweep. Bring some of the most unusual items and place them on our garbage sculpture.
9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Coral Reef Presentation, at the CEA Center, followed by a Snorkel Tour and Fish ID Contest in Akumal Bay. $5.00 USD donation. Limited to 15, please make reservations.
9:45 – 10:15 a.m. Coral Connections Video, at the CEA Center
10:15 – 11:00 a.m. Turtle Program Video, at the CEA Center
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A wonderful performance for children by Veinte Varos, on the beach at the CEA Center, sponsored by Hotel Akumal Caribe and Akumal Beach Resort.
12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sand Sculpturing, Face Painting, Puppet Show, Frisbee and Futbol on the beach and at the CEA Center. Check at CEA for details.
12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Arts and Crafts, at the CEA Center.
6:30 p.m. Blessing of the Reef, gather at the CEA Center, to celebrate 2008 being the International Year of the Reef.
7:00 – 7:30 p.m. Fire Dancing, at the CEA Center.
7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Evening Wine and Cheese Welcome Party at the CEA Center.
February 21
6:00 a.m. Bird Walk, leave from the CEA Center. $25.00 USD donation. Limited to 7 people.

5:30 p.m. Happy Hour at Lol-Ha Beach Bar, last hour for the Silent Auction.

6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Gala Dinner Event – Happy Hour at the CEA Center. By reservation only. Welcome drink included, then no host bar, drinks available by donation.
6:45 p.m. on the beach at the CEA Center. The evening's entertainment begins with a performance by Veinte Varos, which is sponsored by Hotel Akumal Caribe and Akumal Beach Resort.
7:30 – 11:00 p.m. Gala Event, $50.00 USD, at the CEA Center. Includes Dinner with entertainment by Karin ten Cate and Karen Mercer, Live Auction and Dancing. No host bar continues. The Gala Dinner is catered by Turtle Bay Café & Bakery and sponsored by Diane Mahan and Akumal Villas. Click here to view the menu.
